Experience
Amie is a strength athlete and fitness enthusiast who began their journey in the world of lifting at the age of 16, after transitioning away from playing soccer. Motivated by a desire to stay active and develop their physical strength, she quickly discovered the transformative power of weight training. Setting her mind to her goals, she was able to gain 20 pounds of muscle over time through consistent effort, discipline, and a passion for progress. A fellow powerlifting friend pointed out the remarkable amount of power humans could output, which sparked a new challenge for Amie and her fitness goals. Intrigued by the idea of pushing their limits, Amie decided to dive into the world of powerlifting—a decision that would change the trajectory of their fitness journey. With a focus on continuous improvement and a drive to push limits, Amie has not only built a powerful physique and competed in powerlifting meets, but she also gained invaluable insights into the mechanics of the body and the mental aspects of training. This experience in powerlifting has become a cornerstone of their fitness philosophy, emphasizing the importance of setting goals, working hard, and embracing challenges both inside and outside the gym.

She believes that the key to a fulfilling life is finding balance—between ambition and rest, work and play, strength and connection—and continue to explore ways to integrate their passions into their everyday life.
Personal Philosophy
Amie believes that exercise is a cornerstone of a healthy, fulfilling life. It is not just a way to stay in shape, but a means of enhancing our overall well-being—mentally, physically, and emotionally. However, she also recognizes that exercise is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Different individuals have different preferences, and the key to long-term success in staying active is finding what works best for you. For some, that may be weightlifting, while for others, it could be running, swimming, or practicing yoga. Regardless of the form, what matters most is the consistency of being active and committing to physical movement in a way that enhances quality of life. Amie is deeply committed to the idea that stability comes before mobility when it comes to fitness and injury prevention. She believes that before pushing ourselves to perform complex movements or advanced exercises, it is essential to first build a solid foundation of stability. Stability in our muscles, joints, and core is critical in ensuring that our body can handle the demands we place on it. Only then can we safely progress toward greater mobility, flexibility, and strength without the risk of injury from improper form or overexertion.
