Achievements

Angelica, or Lyca to her friends, earned a B.S. degree in nutritional science & dietetics, building a strong foundation in nutrition, health, and dietary principles. Demonstrating hands-on expertise, she completed 1,200 hours of supervised practice during her dietetic internship throughout various healthcare and wellness sites across Southern California. This extensive training prepared her to achieve her Registered Dietitian (RD) licensure in 2021. Additionally, Angelica expanded her professional qualifications by obtaining a personal training certification through the National Council of Strength and Fitness (NCSF), furthering her skillset to help others in both nutritional and physical wellness.

Experience

Angelica is a dedicated Registered Dietitian with 5 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She provides tailored nutrition plans and recommendations, working with a wide range of populations interested in improving their health and managing acute/chronic health conditions. She also has experience working with patients one-on-one to improve their overall health and achieve personal wellness milestones. During her dietetic internship, she also specialized in sports nutrition, working closely with collegiate athletes to provide nutritional guidance to optimize their performance.

Interests

Lyca loves spending time outdoors, whether it’s enjoying a day at the beach, going for a hike, or spending a night out dancing. She is also a huge foodie, always on the lookout for new restaurants or experimenting with new recipes at home. Angelica is passionate about fitness inside and outside of work and recently took interest in bodybuilding. She plans to compete in her first competition in the wellness division this next year.

Personal Philosophy

Angelica embraces a holistic approach to health, believing in the importance of treating the body as a whole. She recognizes that our overall well-being depends on the harmony of the body, mind, spirit, and relationships. Angelica believes that in order for one to show up as their best selves, they first need to feel their best physically and spiritually. This starts with fueling and nourishing our bodies from the inside out. While nutritional science can be complex, Angelica believes it can also be very simple. She dedicates her time guiding others on their journeys towards wellness by teaching them how to incorporate healthy lifestyle and nutritional habits in everyday life.
